Hello Community,
according to the
Wall Street Journalthe mobild carrier
AT&T is toying with the idea of selling Android devices in the future. The CEO of the mobile segment of the company
Ralph de la Vega said at the
CTIA Wireless Fair in Las Vegas, that he is confident with the idea, that AT&T will enter the Android-Competition.
The possibility to adapt the Open-Source-Model for their own needs is "very attractive". But he was
not marking his thoughts as an official announcement.
AT&T would be the second provider, officially supporting Android, besides T-Mobile USA and Sprint Nextel. AlsoVerizon Wireless had shown interest to Android before.
The race for the first commercial device on the market is still wide open.
HTCs Dream seems to be the best horse to bet on.
