|
|
Hello Community,
Google demonstrated Android @ Google IO 2008 - causing heavy impact on the viewers. The improvement to the last SDK is simply amazing.
You'll see StreetView, Compass, new LoginScreen, PacMan, .. just have a look at the videos yourself
Hardware-Specification of the Device used during the demo:
- UMTS (3G) with HSDPA @3,6 MBits
- Capacitive Touchscreen by Synaptics
- Qualcomm's 7201a @ (probably) 528MHz
(has both ARM 11 and ARM 9 chips, built-in GPS, a couple of DSPs (digital signal processors) and 2D and 3D graphics acceleration)
- 128 MB RAM and 256 MB Flash-ROM.

| Hmm ok that sounds like we are enjoying the summer with the emulator. Or we buy some open hardware like FIC Neo Freerunner and hope to get Android working on it. |

I haven't yet watched the second Q&A but I don't think so. Its not been long since Google announced that they will have current SDK sent out to the ADC-Winners as a preview.
So it might take some weeks
Regards,

Does it looks like we've seen the HTC Dream here?
| HTC Dream wrote: | * Capacitive Touchscreen
* 5″ long x 3″ wide
* Slide out or swivel QWERTY keypad
* Internet navigational controls below screen
* 3.6Mbps HSDPA
* 128MB RAM / 256MB ROM
* 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A processor
|
I think we did, didn't we? |
